Priscilla G. On Advocating For Yourself and Your Fertility
By: Priscilla Goddard, Founder of Heirloom Fertility To the women sitting in the doctor’s office being told everything is normal or unexplainable: You know in your heart there’s a missing puzzle piece, but the results (that your doctor is telling you) say otherwise. Why am I not pregnant then, you ask yourself...

Diagnosis of Anovulatory Infertility image

Diagnosis of Anovulatory Infertility
By Dr. Irfana Koita The term ‘anovulation’ is used medically when your ovaries do not release an oocyte (or egg) during your menstrual cycle. In this instance, ovulation has not taken place within one or perhaps many cycles. Chronic anovulation is a very common cause of infertility. Women who suffer from chron...

OvuSense: The best fertility prediction I have ever used!

Just wanted to stop in and give all you wonderful ladies a final update. I have been an OvuSense user since 2014. The best fertility prediction I have ever used. It has never been wrong for me as far as ovulation confirmation. Trust and believe in this technology!

Anyway, this is my 2nd BFP using OvuSense. The first, unfortunately, was ectopic in March 2017. Today I am 14 DPO. AF is officially due today and I am scared, to say the least.

This is my 3rd pregnancy in 11 years. Yes, 11 years!  Unfortunately, I have lost 2 babies so far so I know the pain and struggle.

Many thanks for all the love and support I have received and I will continue to pray for every single one through this rollercoaster journey! I will be watching this Support Group (OvuSense Users Group) and hanging around for love and support but this will be my last update here for now.

I wish everyone the best of luck.

Please, never give up.

Dana x

It's finally sunk in....I'm pregnant! We were due to start IVF in a few months.

I still can’t quite believe that I’m writing this. It’s finally sunk in.

I know a few of you know the difficulty we’ve had (even just getting me to ovulate!!).  Out of 9 medicated cycles, I’ve only ovulated 4 times!!! And if it wasn’t for my OvuSense, I wouldn’t have known and we’d have blindly continued on assuming the medication was working when it had stopped.

OvuSense really did work for me!

Hello,

I would like to provide the below testimonial, as OvuSense really did work for me!

In April 2017, following increasingly erratic periods and some high FSH readings (40+), I was told by an NHS fertility consultant that I was in premature menopausal transition and that I could expect to enter full menopause within the next 6-9 months.   I was aged 41 at that time.

He said that my chances of natural conception using my own eggs during that timeframe were 5%, and advised that infertility counselling - together with consideration of donated eggs - were my only options.

Tina's experience of OvuSense

"Since urine opks are unreliable for many women with pcos, the 99% accuracy of a class 2 medical device is worth every penny for buying the OvuSense and subscription!"  Tina

Christine's story

Hi, my doctor rang to confirm that I'm ovulating :-)  :-P  I'm so happy. Xx

OvuSense got my ovulation date exactly right!   I think my period is on it's way however, I'm pleased that I had my bloods done as I can see a difference in the temperatures between last month (1st month using OvuSense) and this month.

This month's temperatures are noticeably higher :-P xx

Really hoping it happens soon.  Don't give up ladies!

Catherine's story

Before using OvuSense, I had three progesterone blood test that said I wasn't ovulating; they were always done at mid-point of my normal 28 day cycle.  I was being recommended to do a 'super ovulation' drug plan as a result!

This cycle, I pushed for one more blood test and had it done seven days after OvuSense confirmed my ovulation date.  The blood test confirmed a high enough result of progesterone to confirm ovulation took place, just like OvuSense said.  It gave me some peace of mind back!

I am 100% confident in the technology of OvuSense!

Best of luck to everyone trying.

Kate's story

Hi, I used my OvuSense for a year and only ovulated 2 times, which I never would have known if I hadn't been using OvuSense!  I have my period every 35-45 days so it was extremely difficult to determine when I was ovulating, if at all but OvuSense picked it up.

Karen's story

OvuSense is amazing!  I'm now pregnant!

I have PCOS and we had been trying for 6 years with normal LH ovulation tests that never picked up anything. The consultants said we would never have kids and to consider adoption as we were not candidates for IVF or any type of ovulation induction due to my AMH levels being too high.

Always had my suspicions that I ovulated late in my cycle ( cycle was induced by Metformin controlling the insulin resistance related to the condition) so when the OvuSense arrived we opened it and I started using it right away, even though I was about 22 days into my cycle, just to see how it works.

Low and behold OvuSense detected ovulation 5 days before my bleed was due, so we 'baby danced' for joy (as that in itself was a miracle) and put extra effort into what we needed to for the next few days.

I'm now 25weeks pregnant! OvuSense was the last missing piece in our massive fertility puzzle! In addition, OvuSense worked perfectly with the vitamins, fertility friendly and PCOS lifestyle we had adopted.

Can't thank the company enough.  Really pleased.

Best of luck ladies,

Karen xx

Anca's story

I'm Anca and here's my story....

For 10 years, my husband and I have been trying to conceive on-and-off.

In January 2015, I started taking inositol and my cycles came back with a bit of diet and swimming.  I would have a period about every 35-45 days.

I used OvuSense and it confirmed I ovulate late in cycle - but I do ovulate!  I know OvuSense got it right too; I had blood test to back it up showing that I did ovulate when OvuSense said I had.

Summer of 2015,  I had two rounds of Clomid and Trigger Shot but did not got pregnant.

I then had a chat with the OvuSense fertility nurse, Kate Davies, in Sept 2015.   Kate pushed me to try acupuncture to help regulate my cycles more.  I started weekly with acupuncture sessions and with two cycles, I was pregnant in Nov 2015.  I sadly miscarried in January 2016.

Unfortunately, I put more weight on after the miscarriage.  On the second cycle post the my miscarriage, I was pregnant again!   For me, I really believed the acupuncture helped.

Keep trying ladies - keep going and try new things.

Best wishes,

Anca xx
