  • The guilt of secondary infertility

In our PCOS Facebook Support group we have a lovely mixture of group members, some who are trying to conceive for the first time and many who may already have children. I recently asked the women in the group suffering from secondary infertility (the difficulty in conceiving after having previously conceived and carrying the pregnancy to term or suffering a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy), how not being able to conceive again made them feel.

  • Caroline's story

Late ovulation and pregnant after 3 years trying, thanks to OvuSense.

Caroline is 28 and has been trying to conceive for the last 3 years. After stopping the contraceptive pill, Caroline noticed that she started to gain weight and began to notice an increase in bodily hair.

Around this time, to help identify when she was fertile, Caroline decided to purchase a Clearblue fertility monitor. After a while she felt that the monitor she purchased just wasn’t working for her. "I have a whole drawer full of OPKs and strips, and I kept getting let down by them as I never experienced a peak when using them. I just knew that something wasn’t right". Continue reading

First baby after two cycles with OvuSense My name is Akilah and here is my fertility story... I am happy to say that the 2 week wait was well worth it this time. After using OvuSense for the second month, I finally have my BFP (big fat positive). My husband...
  • Amy's story

    Baby number 3 with OvuSense

Hi, my name is Amy and this is my fertility story and journey...

I am 29 and with a new partner now and have been married previously to someone else. I'm studying at University part-time and I work part time doing nails and beauty. I have 2 children who are 3 and 9 but I would like another baby together with my new partner. I just want to say that although I already have kids, at no point is that less painful when you want another, even though people may think it is.

I found out about OvuSense after joining the support group (PCOS Fertility Support) on Facebook. I decided to buy OvuSense after seeing so many ladies posting their charts in the group. Continue reading

  • Miffy's story

Secondary infertility, now pregnant with baby number 3

Hi, I'm Miffy and here is my fertility story and journey.

I've be trying for baby no three recently. My first baby was a stillborn (conceived her naturally after 6 months of trying). We then tried for 18 months after that with no success and it was at this point that I found out I had PCOS.

The doctors said that I needed to lose weight and be put on medication. We tried again to conceive and we were successful. My daughter is now 5 years old, after trying for her for 4.5 years. It's not nice being on fertility medication. We wanted to have a third baby, so I underwent ovarian drilling and then lost weight (as my doctor suggested) only to be told that IVF was our only option. We were so upset. Continue reading

  • Pamela's story

My fertility journey so far, with OvuSense

My name is Pamela. I`m 34 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 16 years (since I was 18) and this is my fertility story so far...

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 14. I had always wondered why my friends would get their period 4 weeks apart on the same day and I never knew when to expect mine! I always had very heavy periods and would be in a lot of pain; I took a trip to my doctor with my mum and she asked what they could do for me. It was then the doctor ordered a blood test for PCOS which confirmed my diagnosis. Continue reading

  • Suzanne's story

Multiple miscarriages and now success with OvuSense

Hello, my name is Suzanne and here is my fertility story and journey!

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2010.   I have a son called Jake, who is 5 years old.  Since then, I have had two miscarriages and one therapeutic termination of my daughter unfortunately, at 15 short weeks.

Two years of trying after that and no ovulation.  I then lost weight, started taking supplements, was put on Metformin.  It was around this time that I found OvuSense and purchased it. Continue reading

  • Gemma's story

I took control of my fertility with OvuSense, now I'm pregnant!

My name is Gemma and here is my story...

I'm 32, and have been married to my lovely husband for 5 years. We met in school and have been together about 17 years. We had been trying for a baby for about a year, and went to my doctor as recommended, through blood tests and scans I was diagnosed with PCOS.

My first doctor was very unsympathetic, and prescribed a couple of months of Clomid (without monitoring). I was testing for ovulation myself, and also temping and knew that I wasn't ovulating but she was very reluctant to send me for any monitoring. Eventually I got frustrated and changed doctors surgeries. My next doctor was a lot more sympathetic and got me a referral for a fertility doctor. Continue reading

  • Kirsty's story

Secondary infertility, 3 week Luteal Phase and now pregnant

Hi, my name is Kirsty and I’m pregnant with my second baby after using OvuSense for 2 cycles. With OvuSense, I was able not only work out, if and when, I was ovulating, but how long my Luteal Phase was. Turns out, we were trying to conceive at completely the wrong time.

    Here is my story:

My husband and I have been trying for 2 years to conceive again as we already have a daughter together. I am 29 years old and the first time I got pregnant, I was 23. It took 6 months to get pregnant with my daughter, so we were really hoping it wouldn’t take as long as it did the first time. Unfortunately, we were wrong. I saw OvuSense advertised on Facebook and the fact it worked for women who have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), made me read more about it and eventually order one online. In addition, the OvuSense money back guarantee, ‘OvuSense Ovulation Promise’ really sold it for me as I didn’t think I was ovulating at all. Knowing that I could get my money back after 6 months if OvuSense didn’t detect ovulation for me, was a big relief financially. Continue reading
