PCOS and trying to get pregnant
How does PCOS affect fertility?
If you have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) your cycles are likely to be longer than 30 days and often irregular. You may menstruate infrequently, making it impossible to know exactly when ovulation occurs. If you do ovulate, it's quite commonly late in your cycle. We created OvuSense just for women like who want to know exactly what is going on and take back control of their fertility.
How can OvuSense help?
OvuSense is unlike any other fertility monitor on the market as it uses patented technology to measure core body temperature every 5 minutes, inside your vagina, while you sleep, providing you with a complete picture of your personal cycle.
OvuSense predicts ovulation in real time in each cycle, and detects the day of ovulation with 99% accuracy. Also, OvuSense is the only fertility monitor on the market that can tell you if haven’t ovulated each cycle which means that you can find out sooner if there is an issue and get the help you need.
"Had no idea that I was ovulating and wouldn't have known it was so late in my cycle if it wasn't for OvuSense! Yes, I would 100% recommend it to a friend. And especially to women with PCOS. I’m now pregnant, thanks to OvuSense!"Caroline, 2015
"I found out by using OvuSense that I have a 3 week Luteal Phase meaning we weren't having sex at the right time. Second cycle with OvuSense and I'm pregnant! I would not have known otherwise; best money I have ever spent. Highly recommend buying OvuSense!"Kirsty, 2015
What if I don’t have regular periods, will OvuSense work for me?
Yes! Many of our customers with PCOS don’t have regular bleeds and yet, OvuSense has detected ovulation for them. In clinical trials, OvuSense has shown to be as accurate as ultrasound for detecting ovulation.
I was told that I probably don’t ovulate. How can OvuSense help?
Many of our customers have found out that they do in fact ovulate, even though they were told it was unlikely. OvuSense can help pinpoint your exact ovulation date and help you to determine the length of your luteal phase, vital information for a successful pregnancy.
What else will I find out from using OvuSense?
Around 5% of customers have a condition we refer to as a ‘slow rise’. As a result of this, a prediction of ovulation in advance may not occur in some or (in rare cases) all of your cycles. Women with PCOS are more prone to this ‘slow rise’ effect and finding out if you have this condition may lead to a more rapid understanding of how to help you conceive.
Fact: ovulation predictor kits don’t work well if you have PCOS
Women with PCOS, particularly those who are not overweight, often have elevated levels of Luteinising Hormone (LH), which means that ovulation predictor kits may show you have ovulated when you haven't.
OvuSense is the most advanced cycle monitoring system you can buy. It can predict ovulation up to a day in advance in real time, and detects the exact date of ovulation with clinically proven 99% accuracy.
You buy OvuSense on a month by month basis, with a small upfront cost, so if you get pregnant, you can stop right away with no obligation to pay more.
OvuSense measures your core body temperature while you sleep. Using its patented software OvuSense analyzes the patterns to predict and detect ovulation.
OvuSense is the only system able to show your clinician your cycle patterns in real time. OvuSense also works with your fertility medications and supplements.
