Before getting married, Miranda decided to get off birth control in anticipation of conceiving a child with her husband. However, after a few months of trying and an unexpected PCOS diagnosis, Miranda found herself dealing with infertility. After watching a fateful TikTok video, Miranda found hope in tracking her ovulation with OvuSense and is now preparing to welcome her first child.

My Unexpected Fertility Journey

Hi, I'm Miranda! I’m 26 years old and I started my TTC journey over three years ago. At the beginning of 2019, I chose to get off my birth control because I expected it to take a few months for my body to adjust and regulate itself before getting married. I didn’t start a period after that, but I knew that could happen, so I decided to wait it out until after our wedding to have any sort of concerns. My husband and I got married in July of 2019, and while we didn’t protect against pregnancy, we weren't actively trying yet either. Soon after, in August, we started trying. However, when I still had not gotten my period, I made an appointment with my obstetrician to express my concern. My doctor ran some tests and I received a shocking diagnosis - I had PCOS. From there, my doctor couldn’t help me any further and referred me to a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE).

After meeting with my RE and reviewing all of the tests I had done, I was informed that I wasn’t ovulating on my own. This came as a shock to me because I had been taking ovulation tests the previous month, which all showed positive results. My RE explained that this could have been a result of my PCOS and I was in fact not ovulating. After hearing this, I felt defeated. I started researching how to find out if your body was ovulating without using test strips and I read about tracking basal body temperature (BBT). However, tracking BBT with a thermometer wasn’t convenient for me because you have to do it first thing in the morning, which I couldn’t remember to do. I once again went back to researching.

Discovering OvuSense and Trying OvuCore

One day I was scrolling TikTok and came across someone talking about OvuSense. They mentioned how great the sensor was and how easy it was to use. After watching that video, I started researching OvuSense more and I was so excited to learn that I could track my ovulation so easily. I didn’t hesitate to try out OvuSense's OvuCore, a fertility monitor that can predict ovulation for irregular cycles and PCOS.

OvuCore is a unique patented sensor technology designed to predict ovulation 24 hours in advance using information from your current cycle. Understanding your unique cycle pattern gives you a better chance of getting pregnant more quickly, even if you have irregular cycles, which other companies often overlook. In conjunction with a phone app, the OvuCore sensor can confirm your fertile window with over 96% accuracy, as well as confirm the exact day of ovulation with 99% accuracy.

OvuSense honestly took so much stress off of my TTC journey because I just slept with the monitor (that I didn’t even feel!), and when you wake up in the morning, you upload the data onto your phone and everything you need to know is right there. Seeing my temperatures rise closer to ovulation and then having the app confirm the exact ovulation day helped me tremendously. I am happy to announce that since we started tracking my ovulation, my husband and I are now expecting our first baby.

Now Expecting!

OvuSense helped me in my journey to conceive and taught me so much about my body that I wouldn’t have learned otherwise. In fact, I was using my OvuCore device when I conceived. I always recommend OvuSense to people on their TTC journey because it was such a huge stress reliever for me during that time and helped SO much. We’re so excited for the next chapter in our lives.
