Trying for a Baby with PCOS

Trying to get pregnant when you have PCOS is not necessarily easy – it can be a challenge even for people without this common challenge to their fertility. Timing

Diet can play a big role in this: moving to a low GI diet with plenty of whole grains can help to control your blood sugar levels, and lower the amount of insulin in your system. You can also support your efforts by taking a supplement of Inositol. This is a chemical compound similar to a vitamin that is found natural in foods like nuts and pulses, and some meats. It helps your body use insulin effectively, and it’s theorised that one cause of PCOS could be a lack of inositol or difficulty absorbing it from food.
